Client Brief
CBL are a leading provider of credit surety bonds and financial risk insurance, founded in New Zealand and now trading globally.
They were moving to a new City of London office, which would be their European HQ. Reflecting the quality of the company and offering staff good working facilities were the cornerstones of our brief.
Design & Planning
Our design staff were involved from the early stages of space planning, to create distinct areas which also suited internal interaction.
In a joint decision with our clients, Archiutti furniture was chosen for the main areas, including a combined boardroom and video conferencing room.
Their attractive furniture would be an ideal fit, created through attention to detail, from fine, end matched, walnut veneers, to polished alluminium and chrome. In harmony with the unusual mural below, added to full height wall cabinets.
Alongside our installation team fitting their furniture at the new location, we would also handle CBL’s move. To include crating and packing every item, not least the server and IT facilities.
Areas Furnished
The move took place over Friday night and Saturday morning, well coordinated with all activities in the same hands. CBL’s staff helping ensure everything was functional before Monday morning, no downtime.
Facilities included a reception zone and ancillary spaces, plus three core working areas:
Conference & Boardroom – A boardroom with full video conferencing facility, to allow interaction with all their international offices.
We worked closely with the video conferencing company, to ensure their equipment fitted into our semi bespoke credenza. Acoustics and viewing position carefully considered, along with controllable lighting.
The boardroom table is finished in American Walnut, with room for twenty cream leather chairs, IT management and cabling set into the surface.
Flexible Executive Area – An executive space, which could be used by the directors and as an extra meeting, or planning room.
The theme of light, well figured walnut and comfortable leather seating continued. IT facilities again built in, essential to function.
Open Plan Working Space – After discussion with our clients and their staff, a sophisticated bench desk system perfectly met their needs.
The white and chrome furniture works ideally with etched glass dividing screens, subtle LEDs helping to create a light ambience between sharing and privacy. Good quality leather seating providing a comfortable working day.
The feedback we have is that all staff enjoy the space and feel this mirrors their business. A successful, corporate solution, space in the City of London is at a premium and needs to be well used.
