Sound and acoustics are a key part of designing video conferencing spaces. The quality of sound is as important as the video, factors such as microphone location and acoustic quality of surfaces need care.
How you choose to work during a video requires practical support. Whether you use a split screen, or prefer a second monitor, if document cameras, interactive whiteboards, or flipcharts are to be used.
Furnishing Video Spaces
Planning small details such as whiteboards, remote controls, power points and web connections makes video conversations go smoothly. The right environment is equally important.
Fully adjustable seating allows for different video needs and different people, they can be properly positioned before the camera. The table in front of them needs to be non reflective, as do walls and other surfaces.
Colour schemes can vary, although a neutral approach works well. Strong colours, heavy patterns or stripes tend to distract. Cover for windows helps control light and well positioned, installed lighting more so.
